ELECTRONIC HOUSE CALL - June 5, 1998
HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH?
Am I the only one getting bombarded with e-mail newsletters? The information is good, but most of them take too much
time to read . . . and I don't want to be another one of those. So I am thinking that the best approach to take with EHC is to
make it shorter -- something you can read in less than two minutes -- three if you read slowly -- and just send it out once a
week. What do you think?
GET THE KIDS INVOLVED
We were just in Tampa with the Cash Flow seminar and a group of us went to dinner at Tuscan Oven, sort of a country
Italian restaurant. (Wood-fired oven, display cooking -- great place!) One of the guys brought his family along, including
his 5-year old son who, naturally, wanted a pizza. The waitress brought the rolled out dough, sauce, cheese and pepperoni to
the table . . . and the child made his own pizza! They took it back to the oven and he watched as they baked it for him. Talk
about thrilled! He even insisted on taking all the leftovers of HIS PIZZA home! How can you adapt an idea like this?
THE BEST PUB SITE IN THE WORLD?
That was what Max Hitchins set out to create for his Billy The Pigs Pub in Sydney . . . and he may just have done it! There
are some incredibly innovative ideas that you might be able to adapt to your own benefit. (Note: the operable word here is
ADAPT -- only amateurs copy.) Take a look at http://www.billythepigs.com.au. While you are at it, take a look at Max'
personal site, http://www.hitchins.com.au, particularly the virtual wine idea.
(Max shared his wit, wisdom and marketing expertise at our Cash Flow seminars in St. Louis, Seattle and Tampa. We hope to entice him back in the US sometime next year.)
