If you have not visited http://www.onsale.com you owe it to yourself to check it out. It is a continual online auction of computer and office equipment. I mentioned this site in one of my first EHC issues, but it continues to be one of my most frequently-visited sites. For example, I just bought a new 400MHz Pentium II for around $1300, a Sony answering machine for $30 and a Panasonic fax machine for $90. As more foodservice POS systems allow you to use off the shelf components, this could be a good way to save some dollars.
