The April and June Super Summits SOLD OUT! Due to the demand for this program, we are offering a third section in November ... but only for the first 36 people who qualify and register.

Hospitality Masters presents
A Rare Growth Experience

for Maverick Entrepreneurs

"Give Us Two Days and We Will Give You Back Your Life!"

Super Summit 2005: Creating the Effortless Organization Do you typically work less than 40 hours a week?

Can you take all the time off you want ... without feeling guilty?

Is your business running better and better ... with less and less direct personal involvement?

Can you be away for extended periods of time and never worry whether your managers are running the shop to your standards?

If you answered “No” to any of these questions ... and wish that it didn’t have to be that way ... you should consider joining 35 of your peers for a one-of-a kind industry event in Nashville on November 7-8.

Recently a client told me, "If my business is going to be able to grow the way I want it to, I must get my managers to a level of understanding where I can talk with them and have them grasp what I am getting at. They know how to handle the mechanics of their jobs but the people skills and a sense of the “bigger picture” are missing. I do not have the time, the inclination or the ability to teach these skills to them myself, but they are critical to our long term success. Can you help?"

I hear this lament frequently and until now there was little you could do to “clone” attitude. But thanks to an amazing new management development program that I have created in cooperation with human relations guru Robert Kausen, it is not only possible, it is probable. Give us two days and we can show you how to get twice as much accomplished with half the hours, put the fun back in your work ... and make your operation run like it had an auto-pilot for excellence.

This is the program I have always wanted to offer ... and I promise that it will change your professional and personal fortunes in ways that you can hardly imagine.

If you have ever thought that your managers needed to see a bigger picture, that your business (as well as yourself) had a potential far greater than what has been demonstrated to date, or if you generally think that “there HAS to be an easier way to do this,” please take a few minutes to read this letter.

It will take you some time ... but the approach it attempts to describe will change everything ... and how can you describe something that powerful in 25 words or less? Of course, if the notions raised in the letter do not stir your imagination, you may not be ready for this information anyway.

There is no question that foodservice is a labor-intensive, service-oriented industry with a reputation for demanding long hours from its managers. I graduated from one of the country's premier hospitality degree programs, yet even in school – as in every foodservice job I held after graduation – the management model I learned was definitely one of 80+ hour weeks.

I was told if I was not willing to make that kind of time commitment, I should pursue another line of work. This way of thinking is just a myth passed down from one manager to the next, but I never questioned it. You may have bought into an idea like this, too.

The Cost of Misunderstanding
Could Kill You ... and Your Business

The price we pay for this lack of understanding is staggering. It is measured in lower profits, reduced productivity, burnout, turnover, broken marriages, substance abuse and an impossible level of stress.

A few years ago, I recall a client who told me a chilling story. "By any standard you can name," he said, "we have been successful. We are the leading restaurants in the markets we serve, we have a great reputation and we have been profitable from Day One. But the price we have paid for this has been staggering. Our wake is littered with bodies! There HAS to be another way to run my business, but I don't have a clue as to what it is." Perhaps you can see some similarities in your own history.

The majority of the problems most restaurant managers deal with day after day are not inherent problems of the foodservice industry. Rather, they are very predictable symptoms of their level of understanding and their idea of what constitutes effective management.

Even as I was working myself to death (120 hours a week in one job!), I couldn’t help but feel there just had to be an easier way to do what I was doing. I am definitely a hard worker but I am not a masochist, so I started looking for other approaches that might be more effective.

Finally, A Powerful

New Management Model

Perhaps because I was actively looking for a better way, I crossed paths with some folks who were doing breakthrough work in understanding how individuals and organizations really function. One of them was human relations guru, Robert Kausen.

Robert helped me understand what I was doing in a totally different way. Once I grasped what he was pointing toward, I was suddenly off the old management merry-go-round. The human part of my work became effortless and the difference in my effectiveness as a leader was earthshaking!

I honestly got results in six months that I would have been thrilled to have accomplished in six years by any standard that I ever had. In less than five years, my staff was totally running the show ... to the extent that my level of talent was no longer needed. When I decided to move on, everyone on the staff just moved up a position and the operation sailed on smoothly without me. (In fact, my former assistant won an IFMA Silver Plate Award last year!)

Learn the Secrets That Make
the “Impossible” Seem Obvious

Your first reaction may be to think, “In your dreams. I have been in this business for X years and it just isn’t that easy.” If you feel that way, let me remind you that in 1491, the world was flat! It was just a fact of life. People couldn’t even get their minds around any other possibility.

Yet just a year later when Columbus returned from his first voyage, the entire frame of reference changed forever. Suddenly it was impossible to hold the old view. Once you grasped that the earth was round, there were things that were possible – perhaps even intuitively obvious – that were unthinkable with the old model. The earth didn’t change, only the way people thought about it.

So that little voice in your head that says, “There’s GOT to be an easier way to do this,” is right. Once your understanding shifts, your life, professionally and personally, will change forever. The shift is permanent ... and painless ... and you deserve it.

Does it seem like you are working harder and falling farther behind?
Is your operation getting more complicated to manage?
Did you ever think there HAD to be an easier way to run a business?

If what you are doing was going to give you an effortless life, you would already have an effortless life! The simple truth is that if you want your business to expand, your thinking has to expand. You cannot be successful in the new century using the management models of the past.

The competitive climate (and your guests' expectations) have changed. Not too long ago, it was enough to just get the job done. But the name of the game is service and true service is a state of mind, not a checklist. In the age of service, how you do the job determines how well you will prosper.

The key to success in this new era lies in deepening your understanding of people and how they work together to create a climate where the guest feels well-served, the staff and managers are happy and the needs of the company are also satisfied.

Hospitality is clearly a "people business," yet few operators get any real education about what makes people tick. In fact, there was no such training ... until now.

You are Working Harder Than You Need To
... and Getting Less Accomplished Than You Could

I don’t care who you are or how long you have been in the hospitality business, I personally guarantee that you will make more money, improve your service levels, reduce your turnover -- and actually have time for a fulfilling personal life – when you come to a new, deeper understanding of the dynamics of what makes organizations function the way they do.

Better yet, armed with this understanding you will see how to develop your own highly effective organization – one that consistently produces exceptional service and high quality results with a minimal amount of management attention.

Understanding the thought process has helped me see the direction I want to go. This will definitely help my organization become less effortful. By letting other employees in on what management is thinking -- as long as they truly understand it -- I won’t have to be there every day telling them what to do. They will get it and make a decision. We can go back later and talk about any decisions that didn’t work out and learn from that. I also see as a result of this program that I’ll get my life back.

I get my children on Wednesdays and every other weekend ... but last night I was really with them. It was the first time in a while I remember just listening to them tell me the story of their day. I have always asked but rarely even listened to their answer. I would ask because I thought that was what I was supposed to do but I would just what my turn to talk again while they gave me all the details of their day.

It is amazing what life looks like from a clear mind. I am thrilled to have been a part of this experience. Thank you both for holding this Summit.

Introducing Super Summit 2005
“Creating the Effortless Organization”

On November 7-8, 2005, Super Summit 2005 will help bring company leaders -- owners, managers and potential managers -- to a more productive level of understanding and personal effectiveness.

It will teach you the “whys” behind the “whats” and lift a tremendous weight from the shoulders of the people who contribute to the success of your business.

The result will be a new frame of personal reference where your natural leadership skills and innate intelligence will lead to the proper actions at the proper times for the proper reasons, even when faced with totally new situations, demanding guests, difficult staff, or just your own natural human ups and downs.

Best of all, this will all happen in a way that enhances the productivity and morale of your staff and improves the well-being of your guests. In short, you will be able to get more done with less work in a manner that will seem effortless ... and have a life in the process!

What Does an Effortless Organization Look Like?

One CEO took to heart the common-sense principles that we will present in this program and turned his entire organization around from the inside out. Here is how he describes his "new" company:

... imagine a work place where the environment is calm, yet people are intensely involved in work activities.

... imagine business meetings so enjoyable and productive that people leave more energized than when they arrived.

... imagine managers making decisions based on wise reflection rather than from fear or by knee jerk reaction to circumstances.

... imagine a work force so resilient that disruptive factors like disappointment and change have but a very temporary effect.

... imagine the energy so often wasted dealing with interpersonal and individual stress being put, instead, into the work itself.

... imagine an environment where there's no concern about motivating people with incentives or pressure since people are generally happy and productive.

... imagine morale at such a high level that staff and managers arrive home from work in a state of mind that actually increases the well-being of the people in their lives, rather than detracting from it.

... imagine an organization that has trust and confidence in its staff, allowing them the latitude (and permission) to think like owners.

... imagine a happy, healthy and productive group of men and women who actualize levels of ability and service which they did not even know they were capable of.

... imagine taking your company to a higher level than you ever dreamed possible through accessing the fundamental innate intelligence of your staff.

If this were an accurate description of the way your company operated ...

... how competitive you would be in the marketplace?
... what would your sales volume be like?
... what level of service experience could you provide to your guests?
... what would it be like for you (and your staff) to come to work every day?
... how easily could you attract and retain top quality workers?
... what would be the quality of your personal life, both on and off the job?

Can You Envision Your Company

Functioning Like This?

I recognize that these descriptions may sound too good to be true, but from my own experience, I can tell you that this picture is extremely accurate ... and it is the way things are supposed to be. All organizations are capable of functioning in this way – it is hard-wired into human nature.

In working with hundreds of managers, Robert and I have found that the extent to which their companies did NOT function like this was just a reflection of the leadership’s understanding (or lack of it).

Anyone Can Make the Shift

When I owned my restaurants in San Francisco years ago, a lot of things were going right. I was happy for that ... but I did not understand WHY they were happening that way. I could have told you what I was doing ... but I could not have told you what it was that really made it work.

Because I did not understand the dynamic, when things got off track, I did not know what to do to bring them back into line again. Invariably, I would do something that only made a bad situation worse until somehow, seemingly by accident, we stumbled back into “the groove” and things started running smoothly again. When we were in sync, it was exquisite. When we were out of alignment it was exquisitely painful -- for management, staff and guests alike. Can you relate?

As Goes the Leadership,

So Goes the Company

Everything changed when I first applied the principles we will teach at the Super Summit. When I took over as Foodservice Director for the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, the foodservice department was the primary source of athletes’ complaints about being in training – we generated all the hate mail! In less than two months, foodservice was the No. 1 source of athlete compliments ... with the same staff!

But it got better. Within six months, patronage had doubled, food cost had dropped nearly 25%, labor cost had dropped 20% and turnover went from 300% to 25% ... with no increase in wages. At the same time, I honestly put in about half the hours I had ever put into a foodservice job in my life ... and honestly got twice the results that I had ever achieved in my life.

If I was willing to work less, I could have gotten more done. Go figure.

Robert and I have seen similar “impossible” results over and over again in businesses of all sizes and types.

High achievement in a group is determined more
by the thinking of the leadership than by
the quality of the staff, the health of the economy
or any other outside factors

If you would like the “Imagine” scenario to accurately describe your company (and it easily could), you and your management staff will find it professionally and personally worthwhile to be at Super Summit 2005. This sort of high level of functioning is available to any operation when the leadership gains a more enlightened vision – a new frame of reference – of what is possible.

Super Summit 2005 is for operators who are willing to consider that there may be possibilities that lie beyond the realm of their personal experience – leaders who can get past their own ego-driven needs to be “right” in order to allow their organizations to reach a state of effortless excellence. They are rare. Are you one of them?

A Blinding Flash of the Obvious

Change comes when you recognize the simple, common sense truths that have been right in front of you all along but which, because of the way you were trained to think, you never fully understood before.

This is what the Super Summit is about ... and it is not a program for everyone. I suppose it is human nature, but I am always surprised how many people prefer to do the same things over and over - even though they don’t work - rather than look for an entirely new, more effective approach to their work.

It reminds me of the cartoon where the medieval king is about to address his archers. He tells an aide that he does not have time to see any “pesky salesmen” right now because he is about to go into battle. The salesman that the king refuses to see is selling ... machine guns!

If you believe in the philosophy of “No pain, no gain,” or place a premium on hard work over results, then keep struggling – Super Summit 2005 is not for you.

Here Are 4 Reasons Why Super Summit 2005

Is The Single Most Important Business

(and Personal) Decision

You will Make This Year ...
Maybe In Your Entire Career!

True success is really about the way that you go about making money, acquiring customers and creating relationships. It is about lifestyle, philosophy and peace of mind. It is about the way that you think – not as much about WHAT you think as about HOW you think.

You should not have to sell your soul to own a restaurant. You should not have to compromise your marriage or the precious short time you have to spend with your children or the valuable time you want for yourself in order to be successful in this industry.

Life is far too short to do it the hard way ... and we have become very good at doing it the hard way!

1. To Be the Best, You Have to Hang Out With The Best People, Listen to What They Say and Understand How They Think

In past years, the Super Summit has brought together half a dozen or so of the best marketing and management minds in the country to share the inside secrets they spent years learning and refining.

The response to past faculties was overwhelmingly positive. The only problem – if that is the right word – is that attendees said that the ideas were coming faster than they could absorb them. “Like drinking from a fire hose,” was one comment.

When asked what we could do to make the Summit even better, they suggested that we offer fewer, longer presentations with more time devoted to explore each idea in depth.

That is why we have decided to take a different approach this year. The faculty for Super Summit 2005 is only three people, whose sole focus for three days will be helping you see how to re-invent your business and create your own Effortless Organization.

With that said, let me introduce the faculty for Super Summit 2005:

Bill Marvin
The Restaurant Doctor

I work with good restaurants that want to be great ... and with managers who want to get their lives back! I am an advisor to foodservice operators around the world. In my spare time, I am also president of Effortless, Inc., founder of Prototype Restaurants, a consulting and management group and managing editor of Hospitality Masters Press.
I began my foodservice career washing dishes (by hand!) when I was 14. I have had the keys in my hand, my name on the loans and the payrolls to meet. My hands-on management experience includes hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions.

I have earned the designation of Certified Speaking Professional from the National Speakers Association. I am a member of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers and was one of the first to be certified as a Foodservice Management Professional by the National Restaurant Association.

I am a prolific author, a thought-provoking speaker and a sought-after advisor in areas of concept development and operational effectiveness. In addition to my private consulting practice, I conduct on-going management and staff training seminars in North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim.

Robert C. Kausen, Life Education, Inc.Robert C. Kausen
Life Education, Inc.

Robert is a personal friend and guru who has been instrumental in setting me on the path of human understanding that resulted in a quantum leap in my effectiveness as a manager.

Over the past twenty years, Robert has contributed to the development of an emerging new common sense understanding about how to get people back in touch with their innate wisdom and psychological health. Grasping this understanding improves communications, simplifies relationships and increases the effectiveness of employees and managers. Robert designs and delivers innovative programs based on this understanding to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurs to foreign governments.

He teaches individual executives and senior level teams how to bring the best out in people by showing them how to access their innate high performance, creative thought process. This new understanding results in highly effective business relationships, impactful communication, creative approaches to business challenges and the virtual elimination of stress. He also works with couples who want to enrich their marriages.

I really enjoyed the Super Summit and have been feeling the positive effects already -- no fires to put out when I arrived back Thursday morning and a lot clearer on how to deal with a few staff members I was hoping would just go away, but truly knew that I had to handle differently.

If I could wave the magic wand and change anything with the Super Summit I would ask for just a bit more time. To me part of the richness is being around others who are in the same business, with like situations, previous experience, and sometimes a truly different mindset that sparks the flames.

The thing I enjoyed most about the Summit was that I was not being sold. It was truly about sharing how to get the deepest connection and best mental health possible with no book or program to buy that held the final secret. So thank you, that really helped me to be open to the entire process and time well spent.

2. You Will Have Two Full Days to Totally Focus on Your Business ... and Your Life ... With No Interruptions

There will be no phone calls, no meetings, no salespeople to distract you from exploring possibilities that most other operators would not even understand! Just this “quiet time” would be valuable enough, but we will show you how to leverage the quiet moments to accelerate your income as well.

Do you have a marketing/consulting roundtable or mastermind group? If not, this is your chance to change that – to forge mastermind alliances with some of the most talented restaurant owners in the industry today.

At the Super Summit you will connect with the brightest, most dangerous, creative-minded men and women in the business today. Nowhere else can you "rub minds" with such an elite group of restaurateurs ... and this year the program will be even more interactive.

You will meet and talk with restaurant owners from big cities and small towns all over the world. Getting inside these closed doors and being with this group for two intense days will have a lasting impact. You will form friendships, share strategies and experience "mastermind" alliances that will last a lifetime. The mastermind principle alone can make all the difference in the world to your business.

3. You Will Be Part of a True "Insider" Event

The Super Summit is not promoted to the general public, so unless you are connected to one of the faculty or sponsors in some way, the odds are that you would never even know about it. If you ever wanted an unfair advantage in the marketplace, this has to be it!

The content will be INTENSE. Robert and I have been friends and professional colleagues for years, but we have never presented a program together. Nobody has ever presented material like this anywhere in the hospitality business ... and nobody else is likely to ever do it. Most people in the industry would think the results we will show you how to achieve are ... well ... impossible.

The program is far longer than is possible in any other industry forum, giving that precious extra time to develop the points, take questions and generally do justice to the ideas being presented. This year we are going deep ... and making the event totally interactive to give more opportunity to learn from each other.

Attendees pre-qualify themselves just by seeing the value of attending this event – plus nobody will be there who has not been screened by Robert and myself - which guarantees that you will be surrounded by a peer group worth exchanging ideas and information with.

This program has challenged me to recognize that my thought determines my state of mindand my state of mind effects my entire business. I see that I need to delegate more. When I go into the business in a hectic frenzied state of mind it creates havoc in the organization and filters down.

Perhaps most meaningful for me have been the “aha” moments where I realized certain things I’m doing that I need to change. I gained focus on how I’m going to direct my management development group. We are going to have a course change. I’m going to teach them how our attitudes effect the rest of the staff.

Sal’s Mexican Restaurants, Fresno, CA

4. The Summit is Only for Two Days ... But the Insights You Gain are Yours for Life!

This program is very different from anything you have ever attended. We are not teaching content, but rather introducing some principles which will lead to individual insights - those "Aha" moments that result in lasting personal change.

This "inside out" process results in a shift of understanding of how people and organizations function ... and that makes all the difference. Once you see it for yourself, it is yours forever (as opposed to intellectual concepts which you only have as long as you remember them.)

Making this common sense understanding part of your life requires reflective learning through insight. As the understanding dawns, its elegant simplicity becomes clear.

Leaders are always looking for ways to increase employee productivity and quality. Most have tried many approaches including motivational speakers, behavior modification, rewards and consequences, teaming, and values training. For many, the results are short-lived, leaving leaders in search of the “silver bullet.”

Those leaders who do gain lasting value from some programs do so for reasons that seem puzzling or mysterious. The “mysterious” variable in human performance is level of mental well-being. It’s mental toughness, mental health, and “getting your mind right.”

We call this variable “state of mind” – the quality of thinking that is available to someone at any given moment. In organizations, we call the collective states of mind the “climate” or “tone.” When you permanently improve your level of performance – whether from a book, tape, program or personal insight – it is the result of a shift in your state of mind.

When that shift occurs, you will suddenly become the master of nearly every business situation and personal interaction you encounter. You will instinctively know what to do ... and it will work.

But to create an effortless organization, you must first shift the way you think of your employees and the way you work with them. This probably sounds simplistic ... and it IS simple once you have an insight ... but getting that insight is the part that is often more elusive.

For example, you may know that trusting your staff will build a better working relationship, but you cannot trust people as a technique. You will trust people when you see them as worthy of your trust. It takes a shift of perspective on your part to bring about a true change, not just an intellectual grasp of the concept.

Super Summit 2005 is not about loading you up with more things to remember. It is about fundamentally changing the way you see your business, your staff, your relationships ... and your life. In fact, you will learn how to accomplish everything you want ... and more ... without the need for any “management techniques.”

The Proof is In the Numbers

The shift that occurs when the power of these notions really hits home for the first time is the most critical element in creating a positive work climate ... and it is the climate on the job that determines how long your staff will stay with you, how productive they will be while they are there, what sort of service they will deliver, how much (or little) trouble they will be, how much of a magnet you will be for current and future customers ... and on and on ...

When we see permanent shifts in state of mind with our client organizations, results always follow. It is not unusual for productivity to increase by 15-20%. This makes perfect sense. When people are healthier and enjoying work more, the energy that was diverted to empire building, complaining, self-interest, and politics, focuses on productive work instead.

As one CEO put it, “Every dollar we have invested in gaining this understanding has returned ten to the bottom line.”

How Much Would You be Willing to Invest
to Get a Ten-to-One Return?

You may be wondering about the price of the program ... but at this point, that is premature. First we need to see if you and the Super Summit material are a good fit. If so, then we can discuss the tuition for this amazing program.

Our purpose here is not to be mysterious, but given the nature of the material we will cover, we do not feel that price is the appropriate criteria for a decision to get more information. If we invite you to attend the Summit, economics may play a part whether you decide to register or not, but for the moment, your focus really should be on the value of what we are offering.

If what we propose strikes a chord, we ask you to complete a brief online questionnaire. After reviewing the questionnaire, Robert and I will schedule a 30-45 minute telephone interview with you.

The purpose of the interview is to get a better sense of you as a person, understand your goals, get a picture of what your world looks like ... and to see if we think they are ready for the sort of material we will introduce at the Summit. As we said, this is not a program for everyone.

The teleconference will also let you get your own questions answered and become comfortable (or not) with what we have in mind. All this is done with no obligation on either side.

If it looks like a good fit, we will extend an invitation for you to join us in Nashville and send the registration material (which includes information on tuition and available scholarships.) It is totally up to you whether to register or not.

If You Are Ready to Create Your Own
Effortless Organization, You Must Take Action

This brings us to the final two important facts you need to know about: First of all, attendance at the Super Summit is limited to 36 people. We cannot provide the quality of experience we demand with a huge group, so registration is by invitation only. If you would like to be invited, you must complete our online application questionnaire first.

Second, since this is an invitation-only event. not everyone who applies may be invited to register. Frankly, not everyone is ready for this information. To keep from wasting your time (and ours), we will screen applicants carefully and only invite those who we feel will benefit the most from the program material.

HURRY: Time Is Short! The HOSPITALITY MASTERS SUPER SUMMIT is coming up sooner than you think. To qualify for applicable early registration discounts, and avoid being shut out, you must complete the Super Summit online application questionnaire.

What has struck me is that most of the problems we encounter in our businesses (restaurants or others) are generally managerial problems, not employee problems. We tend to want to blame our employees. If we step back and take a reflective look at ourselves, the solutions will come to us. This understanding will be valuable in my new venture into the restaurant industry so that I can remain in a centered state of mind. This program would be valuable for any business.

Ed Griffin, MD, Owner
Michiana Orthopaedic Surgery, Sturgis, MI

My understanding of the core concepts has deepened. It has been an affirmation for me about some of the things I’ve been doing about my life. I think I’m on the right path. As an example, my early training and education placed emphasis on reflection and meditation. Then I got caught up in family and business and drifted away. After some major financial setbacks, my partners and I got back to getting centered and listening to each other to find solutions from a calmer state of mind.

I am thirsty for slowing down, listening and doing the things that have the most impact. I now understand more clearly. This program is a good step toward an effortless organization. When people are happy, doing what they want to do, and feeling fulfilled, there is a positive energy that sucks in guests. People want to be part of it and be there. Employees stay and good people are knocking on the door to become part of it. That is how this understanding leads to increased sales and more efficient operations.

Why Should You Be in Nashville?

Here are the top ten reasons why you should be in Nashville in June:

10. After the second session of the Super Summit in June, Robert Kausen and I thought we were done for awhile. But the alumni have been pressuring us to do it one more time. Some of you want to attend the program again. A few want to bring family members. Several want to get more of your key people up to speed before we start the ongoing support program ... and the two-day basic program (similar to what we did in New Orleans) is a pre-requisite. But after this, we have no plans for additional programs until at least June of 2006. This means that if you miss out on this third chance, you may be stuck for awhile.

9. As Gandhi once said, “There is more to life than just increasing its pace.” Bring your golf clubs and/or take an extra day or two for relaxation and reflection after the program.

8. Based on the results we expect attendees to see following the Super Summit (and we do intend to track it), any future programs of this nature will demand at least twice the tuition we are asking this time around. For example, when I applied these principles and understandings in my own operation at the Olympic Training Center, sales nearly doubled, food cost dropped 22.9%, labor cost dropped 16.7% and turnover went from 300% to 25% ... with no increase in wages. What would it be worth to get results like that?

7. There are some very innovative restaurants in Nashville. There are hundreds of great ideas here that you can adapt to gain an unfair advantage over your competitors, most of whom are too anal to see the value of out-of-town research and are picking up their "hot new ideas" from the chain restaurants near the mall.

6. If you want to see what a veteran restaurateur does when he has a chance to show off for his peers, you are going to love our Monday night dinner at Randy Rayburn's Sunset Grill. It is definitely created for locals rather than out-of-towners ... and Randy will be there to give us the complete “down and dirty” on it.

5. Even without trying you will absorb many valuable ideas on how to strengthen your own brand identity just by wandering around Nashville and “rubbing minds” with the other Super Summiteers.

4. With the learning process of two sections of this year's Summit behind us, the November session promises to be more responsive than ever to your needs. Look for it to be even more impactful than our first two ... if that is possible.

3. Robert Kausen is not a "restaurant guy" and does very little speaking. This means that you will not find him on the seminar schedule at your next restaurant show. To gain the benefit of his wisdom, experience and insight, you would have to retain him as your personal consultant ... and that would take a whole lot more money than your tuition for Super Summit 2005!

2. We are meeting at the Sunset Grill adjacent to Vanderbilt University. Sunset is the flagship venture of Randy Rayburn, for my money one of the best restaurant operators on the planet. We will have dinner in one of Randy's three restaurants on Monday evening and I know you will be impressed with what he has created. (We will send you more information on lodging options when your application is accepted.)

And the best reason why you should plan to join us in Nashville in November:

1. If you don't, you will miss the Hospitality Masters Super Summit ... and a unique opportunity to change your personal and professional fortunes ... forever. We promise that you will kick yourself if you are not there!

Why take a chance of missing out? Apply today while space is still available! I am SO looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
