The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
April 29 - Special Treatment

They let us on the boat early and we were not going to sail until 10pm which left the issue of dinner open. The crew recommended a restaurant in town, about a 20-minute cab ride away. But looking at the amount of climbing we would have to do just to reach street level and considering how hot it was, the idea didn't really draw enthusiastic support. "No problem," said the happy crew, "We'll just open the dining room and make dinner for you here." So they unlocked the room, turned on the lights (locked the door behind us) and magically, dinner appeared. We were under the care of Robin and Smiling Girl who seemed a bit confused as to why we were there when the dining room wasn't open, but who carried on admirably and took good care of us. It is good to be special!
