May 1 - Gorgeous Gorges

Despite the perpetual haze, the trip through the first two gorges was fascinating. Of course, at this point we can only imagine what it must have looked like -- and how narrow the channel must have been -- before the water level was raised. There are surprisingly few bridges across the river right now. The ones we do see look quite new so perhaps there are more to come.
