May 2 - Goodbyes
Goodbye to our tablemates from Inner Mongolia with whom we shared meals, drinks and laughs. Even though we were probably laughing at different things, it was still a bonding experience. Goodbye to Nivi -- whose English announcements were often a struggle to understand, but at least she tried. Her English was significantly better than my Chinese ... and I still think she looks Peruvian!
Goodbye to the Presidential Cruises No. 8, the 4-Star Princess Sissi. (I hesitate to admit that we were on a Sissi Cruise ... but there it is!) She did her best, but Princess taught us to insist on a 5-star boat when cruising the Yangtze!
Finally, goodbye to the Yangtze that left us with such powerful memories. I suspect that efforts to tame you will work ... but only as long as you are willing to go along with it!
