The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
May 4 - The Road to Hangzhou

The first class lounge at the Shanghai Railway Station was a pleasant place to wait. The seating was ample and there were even tanks of fluorescent red fish to provide visual interest. The train itself looked very new. Compared with my experience of most train travel in the US ... well, there was no comparison.

The first stop when we arrived at the hotel was the Lobby Bar for a (very) cold beer. Margene loves the room and I have Internet access ... which means that all is right in the world. I love it when life gets that simple!
