The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
December 4 - A Day in the Chair

What can you say about a day that involves spending seven hours in a dentist's chair? ("Ow" comes to mind.) Well this was the day we did all the prep work to crown about 20 teeth or so! I don't even want to think about what that would cost to have done in the US. My jaw is still aching.

As I mentioned, the original plan was not to go quite this far, but with the cost so reasonable, why not? The only downside was getting all the heavy prep work done in one day!

Of course, when I got back to the apartment and took a look at the temporaries that will get me through the next week until the finished teeth are installed, I realized there were still three old teeth that were visible in my smile and that they would stand out in stark contrast to my new pearly whites. Am I ready to add them to the project? I'll have to call the doc in the morning and talk it over.

The leftover spaghetti served us well for dinner as I really wasn't in much of a mood to go out. In fact, I am not in much of a mood for lengthy dissertations, either. Let's pick it up again in tomorrow when we pick up the car and head for Lake Arenal.
