Margene found this place on the Internet and you've got to admit that it looks just about perfect -- every gringo's mental picture of life in Costa Rica. Appearances can be deceiving, however.
Welcome to beautiful downtown Dominical ... really! This would be a real fun place if we were about 19 and into sleeping on the beach. We aren't ... and it left us wondering just what it was that we had done!
Finding nothing intriguing restaurant-wise in Dominical, we were ready to give up and just make do with what we could find at the local mini-mart. But right next door was a typical Tican "soda" -- sort of a Central American "meat-and-three" kind of place. The food is simple and cheap ... and a definite step up from a package of Ding Dongs!
