The ability to do laundry when you need it is just one of the delightful conveniences of slow travel and renting houses vs. living in hotels.
We took a walk around the historic center of town about 11:00 last night, just because we expected it would be magical. It was. Without the distraction of crowds, sidewalk tables, postcard racks and the like, it was like being caught in that medieval time warp again. We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.
