The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
Home Sweet Home

The markets are seriously into tasting so when you need to buy wine ... do what you gotta do! Then there are some times what you gotta do is nothing.

Since I haven't put up photos of our cozy little sanctuary, let me correct that oversight. The lot is surprisingly large, with a large treed parking area, lush landscaping and total privacy ... not quite what I expected this close to the city center.

I think crepes could make a comeback in the US. They are a lighter meal and can be filled with almost anything. This one is buckwheat (traditional) with Gruyere cheese, country ham, ratatouille (sort of a vegetable melange) and an egg. It was the perfect light dinner ... and, I guess, sort of the original French fast food.
