The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
Dinner Around the Corner

As we sat in the square tonight, I was just blown away by the sky. I'm so glad the photo did it justice. The second shot is of our dinner destination, literally around the corner from our house. It has been recommended by every travel source we had and the place was packed, despite the fact that it is several blocks out of the historic center.

Risotto with prawns, duck confit with lentils, potatoes, mushrooms, and mousses of asparagus and cheese ... and a few truffles. For desserts Margene had the panna cotta and I went with the lemon tart. Both sound much better in French ... and my American casual description doesn't begin to convey the depth of flavors. I will have to write more about that later in the trip.
