The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur Down Under
October 30 - Shorncliffe, Queensland
The rain definitely made the view of Brisbane from the top of Mt. Coot-tha a little less than expansive, but we could still get a sense of how much this city spreads out. On the right is a shot of Bob and Pam Marsh's little home tucked into the palm trees in Shorncliffe.
They live on a finger of Moreton Bay (home of Moreton Bay bugs, a delightfully tasty little crustacean) and the scene of a healthy prawn fishing industry. The scene around the kitchen table with Pam also highlights some of the turned wooden bowls that Bob makes from some unusual local woods.
