I had a bit of business to take care of this morning. On Wednesday, I will be presenting a program for a local developer who has a dozen or so restaurants as tenants in his retail development at Mission Bay so I went down there for a preliminary meeting with the client and to see what they had going. Mission Bay is a beautiful spot on the water with a popular park. A recent change in local ordinance to allow tables on the sidewalk really gives it a café feel and as they head into late spring here, the sidewalks were busy. There are about eight restaurants along the strip shown in the photo and the development is about to go into a Phase 2 facelift. In addition to some service training for the operators and their staff, I will also be consulting with the developer on his plans for this area and some of his other shopping centers.
