The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur in France
June 1 - Pommard
The Restaurant Le Pommard in the village. It doesn't look like much, but the food was excellent and the presentations simple but eye-catching. Here is the way they garnished a simple Creme Brulee -- a triangle of strawberry wedges with a small tomato (with leaves attached) to set it off. In thinking about it now, I am not really sure quite what was in the center of this presentation . . . but the effect was delightful!
McDonald's restaurants are too common to even mention any more, but this was the first Dominos that I noticed. This one was in Dijon.
