The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur In France
June 3 - Giverny, Crecy la Chapelle

Take-out stand, Monet's Garden

Do you think that if you had a take-out shop with a four item menu in a crowded tourist area, that you would develop a system to crank out some food? Would you believe 20 minutes in line . . . with only eight people ahead of us? The French do a fine job with food in general, but do not have the organizational head for the business that we in the US come to take for granted.

Creperie, Crecy la Chapelle

Fortunately, the trip ended well. We were about dined out and just went to this little creperie around the corner from the B&B. The owners were pleasant, the menu interesting, the portions adequate and the prices reasonable. What more did we need?
