July 29 - Versailles to Loire Valley

We spent the morning prowling around the grounds of Versailles, then stopped by the Cathedral at Chartres on our way to the Loire Valley.

We are spending two nights with a family in Chisseaux, just outside the Chateau at Chenonceau (where we will go tomorrow). The house has been in their family for 150 years and is a delightful way to stay.

Let me introduce you to Marie and Francois-Xavier, the grandchildren of our host. They are helping us with our French language skills!
