Meyer Hotel, Beaufort Meyer Hotel gardens, Beaufort

We stayed in a real hotel (!) in Beaufort, Luxembourg just across the border from Germany. The area is known as their Little Switzerland and it does have a nicely mountainous feel to it (although nothing even close to an Alp!)

Beaufort castle

This is part of the ruins of the castle in Beaufort. Nobody is really sure when this castle was built but the feeling seems to be that the oldest parts of it date from the 900's.
