August 4 - Amsterdam

The Leidse Plein is a center of dining activity, particularly on a sunny summer day. The first photo is of one of the streets that open onto the square. It is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars of all descriptions. Pulling back a bit into the square, you can start to get a sense of the outside dining scene.

Turning a bit to the right, you REALLY see how the area turns into a big outdoor restaurant. In addition to the variety of street entertainers working the crowd, it is a fascinating place for people-watching!
