The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
April 29 - Bonjour Villefranche

We are back in Villefranche, again arriving late afternoon with only limited time to explore. We are tired, but a little more energetic than after getting off a transatlantic flight.

We wandered around a few of the back streets and found the Rue Obscure in the old part of town. We learned later that this section of town is a designated historic sight. I can see why.

There are some interesting boats in the harbor and many more have come in since we were here last week. For dinner we opted for a fast pizza at a pizzeria on the water ... and a little sleep!

I had a four-cheese pizza while Margene went for a vegetarian special. I thought they did a nice job on the presentation -- much more eye appeal than the typical American product ... and I really like the cracker-thin crunchy crust.
