The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
May 5 - The Moulin du Jour and the River Cottage

This place was more what we had in mind. It is in a totally idyllic setting on a quiet country road with the river flowing under the house. You can just barely hear the water flowing from inside the house. It was completely restored by a Swiss engineer several years ago and the details reflect his attention to workmanship. It could easily be converted to two rental units and there is an 800 square foot building across the road that could make a nice one-bedroom apartment. Margene's heart is still in Italy but this one has some real investment potential and, I think, could easily carry itself.

Our home away from home for the next week. More shots to follow.
