The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
December 5 - Geneva and Annecy

Geneva's focus is on the lake. It was pleasant enough down along the water -- even in the overcast -- but architecturally the city lacked excitement for me. It did, however, have 2.8 shops per block selling watches.

Annecy is another French town that tells its own story best in pictures. There was a Christmas crafts market going on down by the lake, but given the weather, the attendance was slim. There was some good-looking stuff in the booths, just more than we wanted to schlep along for the rest of the trip.
