The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
May 3 - Stranger Sights of Paris

We stopped by the Peugot dealership on the Champs Elysees. They have just released a hot new car with a brushed aluminum body that everyone is talking about. It is as slick as it looks. They also had a car in the showroom that looked like a Chia Pet gone terribly wrong. I did not ask for the story on that one!

Also on the Champs Elysees, the Louis Vuitton luggage store is remodeling. I loved the way they covered up the construction. On the right, a worker at the Louvre gets up close and personal with an old friend. The phrase, "Don't touch me there unless you love me!" came to mind.

I can imagine the architect looking at the finished church and thinking, "I have the feeling that I forgot something." Like the rest of the steeple?
