The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
May 4 - Parisian Dining Options

We stopped for lunch at a creperie on the Ile St. Louis, one of the oldest areas of the city. It was a fascinating old building with a very personable owner ... and they did a nice job with lunch, too! In the US we are used to serving crepes as a rolled item. Here they are just folded over the filling in a square ... which makes for a larger plate presentation.

Along the Seine there are dozens of boats that either offer dinner cruises (the report we got was that it was a good trip but a marginal meal) or, like this one, are basically floating pubs with a great view!

We went out for dinner with Sylvie and Pascal to a neigborhood Argentinian restaurant. Excellent beef and very interesting wine. I think that we will be seeing more and more products from this part of the world. Make your connections before the prices start to rise!
