February 2 - Dinner at Jagat Niwas
Right next to Kankarwa Haveli (our guest house) is the Jawat Niwas, a similar sort of property but one that is run a little more like a hotel. I had heard that its rooftop restaurant was good so while Genie gave her system a break, I went up for dinner. This is one of the few places in town with a covered dining room but I still referred to eat in the open with the lake spread out in front of me.
Like our hotel, the rooftop of the Jagat Niwas was a great place to watch the sunset. The night was about 75 degrees with a light breeze and the view of the Lake Palace at night was surreal.
