The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
May 21 - Basic Transportation/Dinner at Gudiolo

Narrow streets and nonexistent parking in the hill towns make small cars a good idea. Here is the old and the new of small cars. First the older Fiat. It looks like Mike is in the foreground of this shot, but his foot is up against the front tire! If he actually managed to get into the car, we would have to have him surgically removed! On the right is the SmartCar -- two seats and not much more, but real easy to park!

Marv orchestrated the meal and everyone did their part to pull it off. Roasted zucchini, grilled steak, potatoes with fresh rosemary and garlic, Parmesan bread, ripe tomatoes, a mixed salad and copious quantities of Vino Nobile. Definitely a delightful evening!
