May 25 - Pisa/Fiumaretta
The obligatory shots in the Piazza di Mercoli. As you may know, the tower was leaning from the time they were building it. You may be able to notice that the very top section has been built at a slightly different angle to make it appear straighter! On the right is the baptistry. In between is the cathedral, but these two buildings were the most interesting to me.
From the front it is not much to look at, but La Maria has some delightful views out the back.
Monica, the granddaughter of the original owner, does it all! In the end, it is always about the people ... and Monica is our strongest memory of today. We will remember her enthusiasm and her smile.
