May 28 - Santa Margherita
The view of Santa Margherita from the balcony of our room. You can see that the coastline is starting to change from the rugged cliffs of the Cinque Terre (out of sight on the left) to more gentle slopes. Obviously it is still very hilly, but not quite as impossible as what we have seen.
This is the start of the Italian Riviera and the nautical presence is evident. This park is in the center of town at the harbor wall.
All over Italy the old men gather to talk and play cards. These two games were going on under a canopy on the harbor.
