May 12 - A Really Down Day in Umbria
Sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation. Today the sun was shining and we decided just to loll around and enjoy this wonderful house. (Well, the Krumps and the Chesters made a quick run to the supermarcato, but that hardly counts as actually DOING something.) Margene and I never left the house!
Taking a REAL down day meant that we could tackle the really important tasks like laundry, reading, a picnic lunch ... and a wonderful home-cooked meal by our housekeeper, Sandra. Does this mean that we are all getting old and have forgotten how to have fun? Hardly. It is just that our idea of a good time has mellowed!
All in all, this proved to be a remarkably sane way to spend a day -- one that is best told in pictures. Enjoy.
