The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
October 27 - Brusas de Cachiche and Pizza Street

The restaurant is quite modern on the outside. I was impressed by the real sense of entry once you stepped through the double wooden doors off the street into the entry courtyard.

The design of the restaurant is clean and contemporary with some obvious attention paid to the details. The tabletop featured a crock of miniature butter balls and a very spicy spread.

I am a first-timer with Peruvian food, so it was really helpful to start with a buffet rather than having to guess what was what from menu descriptions. Apparently this approach works for others as well. We had a New Zealand tour group at one large table and the rest of the diners looked like local businessmen.

A few shots of Pizza Street in Lima. It is one restaurant after another and, I suspect, could get pretty interesting at night. Next week we will find out.
