Restaurant Nostitz U Musketyr, Prague

On the left is Restaurant Nostitz, situated next to the stream in a lovely park by the river -- a great place to have a beer and watch the world float by. In Prague the drink of choice is beer. In fact, it is about 40% of the cost of mineral water . . . and it is superb! The Czechs have been perfecting the brewing process since the 11th century and have come as close as anyone to perfecting the process. To the probable dismay of my Aussie mates, they are also the biggest consumers of beer in the world, averaging 153.6 liters per person per year.

The right-hand shot is of U Musketyr, an interesting cellar-like affair under a pension (B&B) just off Wencelas Square by the National Museum. They had a more adventurous menu than most places we have seen so far (although we passed on the kangaroo steak) and the prices were designed more for the locals than the tourists. Both restaurants had menus available in English and several other languages. How many languages is your menu in?
