The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
May 25 - Along the Danube to Melk
We really weren't quite ready for what we saw as we were crossing the Czech border into Austria. This was like a miniature golf course on acid! There was no way to capture it adequately on film, but here are just a few pieces of the place. The castle (there were several) is a full-sized building. The plane on the right is a full-sized plane. I did not get a shot of the globe that must have been 6-8 stories high . . . and there was more. This place is tucked between the Czech border post and the Austrian border post, so I am not sure which country it is in. Perhaps it is a country all of its own!
