Gostišce Matja outside of Polzela. The place is simple, the food is excellent, the prices are right and the owner is totally hands-on -- certainly a workable formula.

Our host, Jurij Matjaz. Not only did he spend some personal time with us, but referred us to a friend's hotel in the mountains and even comped a glass of dessert wine for each of us. I love professional courtesy!
