The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur
June 5 - Salzburg
One of the several cafes on the grounds of the Festung Hohensalzburg and the McDonald's sign down in old town.
The Café Niemetz, a coffee house in old town Salzburg. Coffee houses typically feature coffee and pastries. This one also had liquor service. I have been impressed with the way coffee is typically presented in Austria. There is a little more attention given than just plunking a mug on the table. (There is also no such thing as the bottomless cup!)
Dinner at Papageno, a pleasant little Italian restaurant on the water in St. Gilgen. The restaurant is on the second level.
