August 29 - September 5
The adventure begins. The cast of characters this week include Steve & Lynn Zornetzer from Sunnyvale, CA, Heidi & Eric Person from Smithers, BC and Charles Buckner and Diane Pennica, he from Seattle, she from San Mateo, CA.
The roof terrace proved to be a pleasant place to unwind and share stories ... often far into the night and, from time to time I fear, to the annoyance of the neighbors!
Setting what would become a pattern for the trip, we took advantage of an amazingly well-equipped kitchen to prepare dinner our first night in the house. (Actually we cheated a little and got rotisserie chicken from the HyperU supermarket!) Charles did the surgery, Steve made the salad and the rest of us just enjoyed!
