Happy Anniversary to Us!
As day breaks, I'm not sure if we'll have much to tell you about on a travel day. Because the apartment isn't rented
again until January 5th, there's not the normal rush to be packed and gone by 10am. We have a 7:30pm flight from Nice to
Paris where we'll spend the night and take a 1:30pm direct flight to Seattle on Sunday afternoon. We're leery of relying on
an early morning connecting flight to catch our main ride across the pond because if there's any sort of delay in that first
flight ...
If we take the autoroute, it's a little over two hours to Nice. Going the back way through many of the towns we came to know
and love when we were here for a month in 2009, it'll maybe be an hour or so longer. What to do? What to do? Right now it's
still dark outside so I don't even know what sort of a day we'll have to work with, but whatever the plan, it's nice to have
enough time to let it develop organically. It's also our 27th wedding anniversary today. Surely we'll find some way to
acknowledge that milestone ... won't we?
