The daily diary of a wandering restaurateur in Europe
August 6 - Brugge

Amaretto presentation Bad Menu

This is the Amaretto presentation that came with the check at Ristorante Salerno in Overijse, Belgium. Another impressive detail was that the ceramic ware was apparently all custom made for the restaurant. It had the same logo hand painted on every piece along with the name of the restaurant. The other shot is not distorted -- that is what the sidewalk display looked like at the restaurant next door to Salerno. I'm sure the photos were impressive before the rain got to them . . . but if they will allow this to stay up, what attention are they paying to the rest of the operation? Something to think about for your place?
