Are You One of the Dangerous People?

Are You Truly Ready to Step Out of the Box
and Blow The Lid Off Your Sales
by Joining the Leaders of the Hospitality Industry
at the First-Ever Hospitality Masters Super Summit?

Dear Friends and Clients:

I haven't been sleeping much lately. It's not insomnia or indigestion. I am just excited to see the pieces fall into place for the first-ever Hospitality Masters Super Summit -- a truly unique event for the hospitality industry that is guaranteed to revolutionize the way you will do business . . . FOREVER!

You see, we do business the way we do business because that is the way we understand how to do it. There is nothing wrong with that, of course, and my guess is that you have been successful at making money that way or you wouldn't even be reading this. In my experience, however, the truly successful people are never really satisfied. They are always looking for the next great thing, the new idea that will re-kindle the flame and keep them ahead of the mob, the fresh approach that will give them an unfair advantage over the competition.

There are several ways to get these ideas and insights, of course. Some will touch you in a quiet moment of reflection when your mind quiets down and you suddenly see a bigger picture. This is earth-shaking when it happens but for most operators, finding the quiet time is the hard part.

Some breakthroughs come during travel -- from seeing what other people are doing or talking to colleagues from other areas and recognizing ways to adapt their approaches to fit your own special circumstances. Unfortunately, finding the time to travel can be a luxury for most independent operators. (I also find that my wife doesn't appreciate my spending too much vacation time talking shop with some restaurateur when I should be enjoying quality time with her!)

Seminars at association and vendor trade shows can be a good source of new possibilities as well, but often the subject matter is rather elementary or, worse yet, totally predictable. Perhaps this may be appropriate for the venue and diversity of the audience, but it is often too basic for the experienced operator.

Please understand that I am not knocking trade show seminars -- I have done hundreds of them over the years and they help a lot of people get better -- but if you are an experienced operator and your question is, "What's next?" you are not likely to find your answer in a public forum where the material -- of necessity -- tends to be more conservative and reflect the common thinking.

So Where do Dangerous People Go to Grow?
Before we get into this any farther, perhaps I should define what I mean by a dangerous person.

To my mind, people are dangerous when they march to the beat of a different drummer. Dangerous people are IN the market but not necessarily OF the market. They are always looking for an edge, for the new idea that nobody has thought of yet. While they have a healthy respect for the competition, in their heart of hearts they feel slightly more enlightened than other operators in their market. They are not afraid to experiment. They are not afraid to try something that might not work. They thrive on calculated experimentation and pushing the envelope. In short, dangerous people are mavericks.

Dangerous people are dangerous just because you never know what they are going to do -- you just know that they are going to do something unexpected. They are a lot of fun to hang around with . . . but only if you are as dangerous as they are!

The Only Game in Town
In years of talking to the players in our industry, from corporate ground-breakers to savvy independents, I am convinced that the only thing they are really interested in is HOW TO GROW. How to grow their sales, how to grow their companies, how to grow their reputation in the market. Service is important, but only as it drives sales. Great food is critical, but as a means to build volume. Human resources is a concern, but only because you cannot grow the company without good people who want to help you do it. Growth. It is all about growth.

In the post-September 11th market, you are facing stresses and challenges like never before. Some restaurants have suffered a slowdown, some have actually shown increases. In any event, it is seemingly impossible to run a restaurant day after day and still find time to clear your head and focus on new, better, more profitable ways to grow your business . . . and get the lifestyle you have always wanted in the process.

On April 29-30, you will have the opportunity to find out how serious you are about growth. On April 29-30 . . . in Seattle, Washington. . . for the first time ever . . . nine of the leading experts in the hospitality industry will gather to share their most precious trade secrets with only 99 of the most dangerous people in our business. The question is will you be one of them?

And Now for Something Completely Different!
As I said, industry trade shows have been very, very good to me over the years -- and I think I have returned the favor -- but lately I have been looking for more. I wanted a more savvy audience. I wanted a forum where I could say all the things I always wanted to say to an audience but never had a sponsor who would let me do it. Sometimes I found this situation with a private client, but there was really no event in the hospitality industry that allowed what I wanted to do.

A few months ago, I had a chance to spend a few hours with respected industry consultant Bill Main, a long-time personal and professional friend. After the usual "How's your business? How's your family?" sort of questions, we started to get into some really deep exploration of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. I was pleased -- shocked might not be too strong -- to learn that he felt about the same way I did about wanting to get deeper with an audience without worrying about keeping a sponsor happy. Encouraged, I contacted other free-thinkers in our industry whose ideas and approaches always impressed me. Surprise again! They, too, were feeling the "itch" to take things to a deeper level.

If there is one thing I have come to respect along the way, it is that the next step is always obvious . . . and it was becoming obvious that there was not only support out there to provide a place where the dangerous people could gather and learn, but there was also sources of insight -- industry experts -- that were equally as excited about seeing that place be created.

The result of it all is the first Hospitality Masters Super Summit, a one-of-a-kind hospitality industry event, conceived and presented by nine of the leading experts in the industry. It is all about growth -- growing your sales and growing your business -- and is targeted for a dangerous audience with the maturity, experience and professional curiosity to recognize the value of fresh thinking and "out-of-the-box" ideas.

There is no other industry forum like the Super Summit. The program material will be blunt, controversial and politically incorrect -- precisely what you need to hear to get you where you want to go -- but more on that later.

The Super Summit will present breakthrough income, wealth, marketing and success coaching strategies designed to boost your income a minimum of $100,000.00. You will be challenged, encouraged, inspired (and perhaps occasionally irritated!) by approaches and ideas that are superior to anything you've ever seen, heard or even imagined, with their value to you assured by the most daring guarantee ever offered for any seminar.

If I sound a bit over-excited about what I am about to tell you, please don't confuse it for "hype." I am just totally thrilled about the opportunity to get together with top restaurant owners and managers from around the country and mastermind with some of the most brilliant marketing and business experts in our industry.

(If those prospects don't excite you as well, save yourself some time and quit reading now. The Super Summit is not for you. However, if you find yourself getting excited by the possibility of a quantum leap of understanding that can propel you and your business to new heights, keep reading.)

There's really nothing quite like the experience of having two full days to totally focus on marketing, profit improvement and achieving the ultimate in professional and personal success. You will learn how to make as much money as you want so you can fund the lifestyle that you've always dreamed of. And you will learn how to do it EFFICIENTLY and SYSTEMATICALLY so you can finally get balance into your life. After all, what good is making money if you have to work like a slave for 70, 80 or more hours a week to get it?

You cannot even come close to this with books, tapes, ordinary seminars or even one-on-one consulting! Being at the Super Summit will allow you to rub elbows with the best marketing, management and business minds in the country. We will be handing you the best we have to offer over two intensive days -- secrets that until now were reserved only for our best private clients.

The Objective Is . . .
. . . to send you home MUCH more skilled and better-equipped to grow your business the right way . . . to help you transform your business and your business approach so you can do what you do better, faster, quicker, easier and more profitably than ever before . . . and to give you a good time in the process!

Here Are 7 Profitable Reasons Why The Super Summit Is The Single Most Important Business (and Personal) Decision You will Make This Year . . . Maybe In Your Entire Career!

Why shed blood, sweat and tears working for guests who will nickel and dime you and drive you crazy when you can learn how to attract and retain the kind of customer who is actually grateful for the fine job you do? Along the same lines, why struggle with staff no-shows, call-outs and bad attitudes when you can learn how to attract, develop and retain the sort of crew that thinks like owners and shares your passion for growing the business?

True success is really about the way that you go about making money, acquiring customers and creating relationships. It is about lifestyle, philosophy and peace of mind. It is about the way that you think -- not as much about WHAT you think as about HOW you think. You shouldn't have to sell your soul to own a restaurant. You shouldn't have to compromise your marriage or the precious short time you have to spend with your children or the valuable time you want for yourself in order to be successful in this industry. Life is far too short to do it the hard way . . . and we have become very good at doing it the hard way!

That's where the marketing and management experts that will be at the Super Summit come in -- sharing with you all the inside secrets they have to save you years of time, energy, money and effort. I am totally convinced that if I can get you in a room with the greatest marketing and business minds in the country for only two days, we can shatter the box you have built for yourself, skyrocket your potential and show you the way to grow your business to any size you want.

Let me tell you about the incredible line-up of speakers we have packed into this conference.

1. If you Want to Be the Best, You Have to Hang Out With The Best People, Listen to What They Have To Say and Understand How They Think

For the first time ever at the Super Summit, we have assembled nine of the best money-making and marketing geniuses from our industry whose sole focus for two days will be helping you to grow your business. Let me introduce them to you.

Bill Marvin, The Restaurant Doctor
Bill Marvin, The Restaurant Doctor, works with good restaurants that want to be great . . . and with managers who want to get their lives back!. Bill's contention is that, in a "people business," those with the best understanding of people will come out ahead every time. His common-sense insights into how individuals and organizations function helps managers tap the innate abilities of their staff. The result is a climate where productivity, retention and service increase naturally, where the workers think like owners and where top line sales (and bottom line profit) come easily. Sales increases of 20% are not unusual! Bill began his foodservice career washing dishes (by hand!) when he was 14. He has had the keys in his hand, his name on the loans and the payrolls to meet in hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions. Bill is an advisor to foodservice operators around the world, a prolific author, a thought-provoking speaker and a sought-after advisor in areas of concept development and operational effectiveness.
Bill Main, Bill Main & Associates
Tucker W. "Bill" Main is a nationally-recognized financial and foodservice management consultant, having served over 350 clients in 37 states and Canada. In over 25 years of foodservice operations experience, Main discovered that the success of every foodservice operation is based on a myriad of trade secrets - insider knowledge, proprietary shortcuts and bits of wisdom. His "best practices" template of successful foodservice operation has been widely acclaimed as the definitive approach to both survival and prosperity. His specialty is brand development and aligning brand promise with brand delivery.
Max Hitchins, The Hospitality Doctor
Does your team need marketing, management or motivational medicine? Do you need ideas to make you and your business "stand out" from your competitors? Max Hitchins hails from Sydney, Australia and travels to over a dozen countries a year, keeping a sharp eye out for innovative marketing ideas. A former restaurant operator himself, Max may use magic, boomerangs or whips to anchor a powerful point. (The magic is startling, the boomerangs exciting and the whips . . . well, they are just a bit kinky!) Max will tell how to get personal replies from American Presidents and how to get $$$$$$$$$$ worth of "free" advertising. He will demonstrate how to be creative and how to use his 4T principle...Take Time To Think! As the creator of the Zebra Marketing Principle and Australia's leading hospitality industry expert, he designs, demonstrates and delivers unique ways to make your business stand out from the herd.
Phyllis Ann Marshall, FoodPower
It's about the food, stupid! Phyllis Ann is a skilled chef who now works with restaurants ranging from fast-food to five-star, helping to develop new concepts as well as to refine and retrofit existing operations. Her unique sense of product and presentation has also made her an advisor to shopping center developers, department store restaurants, food courts, cafeterias, grocery stores and premium-brand product makers. As co-owner and operator of Mr. Stox, one of Southern California's most popular restaurants, Phyllis Ann helped create an innovative and highly regarded dining facility which received the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award, as well as the California Restaurant Writers' top annual awards. She is a frequent contributor to national food and restaurant trade and consumer publications and is the restaurant reviewer for Orange Coast Magazine.
Joel Cohen, Cohen Restaurant Marketing Group
Joel Cohen is one of the world's leading, cutting-edge, marketing authorities in the restaurant/hospitality arena, particularly in the area of Internet marketing. He has planned and implemented programs for such major food service clients as McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Popeye's, Golden Corral and Landry's Seafood Restaurants. His company, The Cohen Restaurant Marketing Group (CRMG) specializes in developing programs which increase customer traffic, guest frequency, average checks and group sizes. His Menu Enhancement Program™ will increase profits 3-7% immediately. CRMG focuses on branding, positioning, strategic planning, research, server training, local restaurant marketing and sales-building plans.
Susan Clarke, Motivation Unlimited!
Susan Clarke is a dynamic international speaker and author, whose effervescent and lively style of communication reflects her outlook on life. She is a certified Behavior and Values Analyst and a recognized expert in the field of internal and external customer service. Susan's novel theories are based on her "real life" experience combined with her expertise in the areas of behavior, values and attitudes. Her direct approach to service provides a practical framework for those who want to exceed their customer's expectations . . . and want to exceed them NOW. Susan's programs are highly interactive and entertaining, yet they provide substantive information that makes a real difference. She consistently demonstrates how to develop a win-win attitude that will improve performance and dramatically increase the bottom line.
Banger Smith, Menus for Profit
Banger has helped hundreds of restaurants across the country achieve greater profitability. Using his knowledge of menu merchandising and point of purchase collateral, he has been hailed as the "Miracle Worker" of menus by Restaurant Hospitality magazine. His unique approach to menu engineering and analysis has helped increase profits as much as 12% per month for some restaurateurs. Banger's talents extend beyond menus. He is a restaurant management veteran with over 20 years as General Manager with the nationally acclaimed Ray's Boathouse in Seattle.
Molly Hancock, Hancock Consulting Group
Ron Cohn, owner of Consolidated Restaurants in Seattle once described Molly Hancock as, ". . . the smartest person I have ever met in the restaurant business. She has a unique ability to quickly grasp complicated situations and find simple solutions." Perhaps that is why he made her his Chief Operating Officer! Molly is a hospitality industry success story, working her way from part-time server during her undergraduate days to COO of one of Seattle's leading restaurant groups.. A feature article in Washington CEO magazine explains more about this amazing woman, her passion for the industry and particularly her love of the people that make things work. Now a sought-after consultant, Molly applies her insights to organizations that want to grow successfully and sanely by making the right decisions at the right time for the right reasons . . . with the right people.
Rory Fatt, Restaurant Marketing Systems
Would you like to double your restaurant's profits in 119 days or less? Rory Fatt President of Restaurant Marketing Systems has proven time and again that he has the advice and strategies that independent operators need to reach the sales success they deserve. You may have seen his columns in Restaurant Business, Restaurant Hospitality, Hospitality News, The Server, Sunbelt Foodservice or other industry publications. With over 1500 members, he has been called the voice of the independent operator. One of his member's sales were up 72% even after September 11 -- over $400,000 per year! Another has cancelled $120,000 worth of traditional advertising and now just uses a couple of Rory's marketing strategies. (Last month this generated $45,000 in additional sales and it is growing by 10% per MONTH compounded!) If you are interested in growing your sales quickly and dramatically, do not miss Rory's presentation.

Looking at this collection of industry wisdom, if I do say so myself, the appropriate word is "Wow!" Just the lineup would be enough reason to register, but I think you will be even more impressed when you take a look at the Super Summit agenda. When you see what we have in mind, you might also wish the Super Summit was a three or four day event to give you more time to listen, question, absorb and assimilate the amazing ideas and insights we will share. We won't be able to do that this year . . . and you won't be able to sit in on all the sessions unless you bring a couple of colleagues (not a bad idea, by the way!) . . . but we will be recording the sessions and the full tape set will be available on audio cassette or CD. The set is available whether or not you attend the Super Summit but attendees get a 50% discount on the package. Details are on the registration page.

3. "Pick The Brains" Of Other Dangerous People -- Restaurant Owners That Share Your Sense of Professionalism and Desire to Grow

Do you have a marketing/consulting roundtable or mastermind group? If not, this is your opportunity to change that -- to forge mastermind alliances with some of the most talented restaurant owners in the industry today.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: At the Super Summit you will connect with the brightest, most dangerous, creative-minded men and women in the business today. Nowhere else can you "rub minds" with such an elite group of speakers and restaurateurs as you can at the Super Summit.

You will meet and talk with restaurant owners from big cities and small towns all over North America. (As of this writing, we even have one coming all the way from Melbourne, Australia to attend!) Some have big businesses, some are small, some have gone from struggle to prosperity, some are still struggling to get all the pieces put together, and some have huge incomes. Some have increased their earnings while taking more time off than ever before, for family or personal interests.

Frankly, your networking with all the other operators in attendance can actually be even more valuable than what you hear the speakers say -- and you can NOT get this from tapes, or books or any other way other than by being here! It doesn't matter whether you are wrestling with menu pricing or competitive challenges, employee or expansion difficulties, time problems, even personal/emotional hang-ups. There will be people here who have already slain those very same dragons and will generously share their experiences.

You will meet people new to the business and very experienced veterans. Getting inside these closed doors and being with this group for two intense days will have a lasting impact. You will form friendships and share strategies and experience "mastermind" alliances that will last a lifetime. Couldn't you use a support system like that? The mastermind principle alone can make all the difference in the world to your business.

They will all be "into" marketing and growing their businesses whether from one unit to two or from ten units to fifty. They will all be ambitious, progressive and innovative. Some will be hugely successful, others just starting to transform their businesses, but, by just seeing the value of registering for this event, they will be pre-qualified, guaranteeing that you will be surrounded by people worth exchanging information and ideas with.

4. The Super Summit is a True "Insider" Event

The Super Summit is really a "stealth" conference. It will not be promoted to the general public, so unless you are connected to one of the presenters in some way, you would never even know about it. If you want an unfair advantage in the market, this is the place to get it.

The content will be INTENSE. We have assembled the best of the best in the world to present at the Super Summit. We have been friends and professional colleagues for years, but we have never all been on one program at one time . . . and likely never will be again. No other program sponsor could afford the fees for this much top-end talent! (Most could not even afford Max Hitchins' airfare from Sydney!)

We have made a deal with each other that the material we offer will not be anything we have ever presented to a general audience before. It might include inside secrets we have previously reserved only for our private consulting clients, but the Summit will present our most current thinking rather than anything you may have already heard from us. This is not an opportunity that is likely to come up again in any other forum and we are excited . . . and frankly, a little scared . . . about it. But if we are asking you to relax and try on some new ideas, it is only fair that we do it ourselves.

This is a no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners sort of event. We will not pull any punches or attempt to be politically correct. The material may (or may not) be controversial, contrarian or even confrontational. It won't always be pretty and it certainly won't be polished and well-rehearsed. In many cases, you will hear ideas that have never occurred to us until just before the program. You may even hear a seeming reversal of our normal posture. (For example, can you imagine me telling you why and how you should give your guests a hard time . . . and why they will love it when you do? It could happen!) How's that for mind-stretching?

Some of the programs will be collaborative -- two speakers combining their talents and insight to address a specific topic in sort of a Ebert and Roeper movie review format. Thumbs up or thumbs down. They may agree . . . and they may not . . . but there is nowhere else in the industry where you can find this sort of fresh thinking and "he said, she said" approach. Most of these will be two-part sessions -- think of them as mini-workshops or conferences within the conference -- and we are very excited to see where the format will take us. How's that for something fresh?

5. Hot Seats

Throughout the conference we will be scheduling times for attendees to present their number one marketing or management challenges to our panel of experts. If you are on the hot seat, we will ask you relevant questions about your restaurant, what you are doing now and where you want to get to. Then we will help you see exactly what you can do to get on track or resolve the problems you are facing. You will get the best hospitality marketing and business minds on the planet working for YOU at the Super Summit. You will have solutions to your most difficult problems ready to implement upon your return. This alone is worth several times any registration fee we could possible ask.

This panel of experts ask and routinely get $300 and more per hour EACH . . . and you get all nine for the price of registration. Think of it -- all nine industry experts ON YOUR SIDE doing battle to help you solve your problems and obliterate your competition. It will be like using a "smart bomb" to simply blow away the issues that stand between where you are now and where you want to get to. There are a limited number of hot seats available and they will be assigned on the basis of general interest with priority determined by the order in which you registered. So it is first come first served and attendees only. You must fill in the hot seat forms that come in the registration package to be eligible for consideration.

NOTE: You will not be called up for a hot seat unless you request to participate. However, even if you are not personally in the hot seat, you will learn almost as much just from being in the audience when each case is discussed. You will look at your business from a totally fresh perspective as everything starts to come into focus for you.

Just how powerful can these new ideas be? Well, a few years ago one of our presenters reports listening in on a similar panel. He took just one of those new ideas and so far has pulled in $513,264 in sales with it! This year alone he expects to double that figure! Another strategy he learned accounts for a full $12,429.32 per month and by year-end it will be twice that. How much could a great idea be worth to you?

This is your opportunity to extract your half-million dollar idea by 'master minding' with other restaurant owners like yourself . . . people who face the same challenges as you . . . and get real-world in-the-trenches answers.

As if all this wasn't enough, here are more ways that the Super Summit will deliver a completely new two-day total immersion experience so unlike anything you have ever experienced that you will go home with your passion re-kindled, brimming with fresh ideas on how to propel your business to levels that you only imagined before.

6. You will Receive A Jam-Packed "Best of the Best" Manual

We are compiling a manual stuffed full of all the best marketing and management ideas from all of the attendees and the presenters as well. Everyone will agree that this alone will be worth the price of admission because you will get dozens and dozens of successful approaches, proven ideas to 'steal' from the next time you need a new approach to a problem.

We will be asking (actually bribing) all attendees to submit examples of their absolute best practices -- marketing strategies, management policies and other trade secrets. We will combine all of this into a giant notebook for you to take home and 'borrow' from. We'll spend time talking about as many of these winning ideas as time allows. You will find out why and how each of them worked and how you can use them in your own business.

7. We Will Give You Free Money!

In addition to all the other benefits of the Super Summit, each attendee will receive $100 in Super Script that can be used to purchase materials and services at the event. Use the money to buy books for your professional library, pick up some one-on-one consulting advice or apply it toward any of a number of continuing education programs offered by the presenters. Contribute an idea to the "Best of the Best" Manual and get another $20 in Super Script. Your Summit notebook will outline all the ways you can spend this free cash . . . but be sure you do it before the end of the Super Summit. How's that for value-added?

What Could You Accomplish With Two Full Days of TOTAL IMMERSION in Proven Marketing, Management and Money-Making Strategies, Away From the Day-To-Day Routine and Pressure?

We know that it is difficult to deal with all the day-to-day stuff and still find time to clear your head -- to focus on new, better ways of doing things, on more profitable marketing, on smarter management.

Getting away and immersing yourself in the Super Summit environment with a small group of other like-minded professionals and nine guest experts is an extremely powerful step, one that we believe could mean an extra $100,000.00 or more in your pocket every year. Big Money to be sure, but Big Money made the right way . . . your way. As long as you are getting up every morning . . . going to work . . .spending money and working hard to promote and grow your business, why not learn to do all that in a way that is TOTALLY CONGRUENT with your personal, family, lifestyle, and financial goals? Why not construct exactly the kind of business you most desire?

We want to see who is SERIOUS about really blowing the doors off their income . . . and which ones are all mouth, no action. Truth is, EVERYBODY says they want to make a whole lot more money. And most restaurant owners also whine about how hard they work, how much stress they're under -- but most are also entirely unwilling to do anything about it.

We Want This To Be The Most Profitable, Money-Making, Life-Enhancing Event Of YOUR LIFE!

This is the industry event you MUST attend, no matter what you need to do to clear your schedule and make the investment (which will return to you many times over), no matter if it's inconvenient. This is where you will get the ideas, insights and understanding that will ensure your success, regardless of the threats you face from a changing economy and the fierce new competition that is springing up every day.

But we want you to be committed when you show up. That's because if you are going to "push the envelope" on your marketing and business practices, you will need to honestly confront and question everything you previously heard or knew about how to make money and grow your business. We intend to pull the rug out from under "the way we've always done it" traditions of the past.

So there probably are a few reasons for saying "no" and staying home. "It's my busy season." "It's my slow season." "I can't be away from my restaurant for three or four days right now." "I can't afford the registration fee."

We said that the Super Summit was not for everyone. You need to look in the mirror and decide for yourself whether you have the courage to consider opening yourself up to these kinds of changes . . . changes that can bring breakthroughs in business, income, attitude and marketing know-how. You need to really decide if you are ready to put your money where your mouth is and take full control over your life. Nobody can make that decision for you . . . but not to decide is a decision in itself.

Will You GUARANTEE that the Super Summit Will Add $100,000 or More to My Income?

Not a chance! Look, we know that the ideas we will present will work . . . and work well. We have watched our ideas and strategies make huge money and solve "un-solvable" problems for restaurant owners time and time again. But we are not crazy enough to guarantee that you will make huge money too. Why? Because we can't control what you do . . . and if you do nothing, that is precisely what you will get -- nothing. There are just too many ways you can mess yourself up that are completely outside of our control for us to guarantee specific results. That's just the honest truth.

But we know, as you do, that nothing will change unless you actually take action and we also know, as you do, how easy it is to get side-tracked once you get home from a conference. To help assure that you will get the results you say you want, we will schedule a series of free follow-up telephone conferences that will extend through the end of October, open only to Super Summit alumni. These will be opportunities for you to call in and discuss your specific questions directly with the Summit experts.

In addition, we will ask you to commit to a written action plan before you leave and we will help you line up peer support -- sort of a buddy system -- to help keep you on track while you put your plans into action. We cannot guarantee that you and your buddy won't let each other slide either, but when have you attended an industry conference that offered this kind of implementation support?

But we will go you one better and offer you an incredibly generous -- dare we say bold and daring? -- guarantee. In fact, we challenge any other conference in the restaurant industry to match our guarantee and put their money where their mouth is. Here is our guarantee and promise to you:

Participate in the entire first day - right up to 9:00pm. If by then you are not
completely convinced that the ideas, systems and strategies that you are
learning will add at least $100,000.00 to your income, just ask for
a refund, turn in your materials and you can leave. But we won't just refund
your tuition, we will also pay for your hotel room for the night!

That's right, if we fail to convince you of the value of what you are learning, we will reimburse you for your hotel room over and above your tuition refund. I doubt you'll ever find anybody providing any kind of seminar or event that is willing to provide such a super-strong guarantee. We can do it without a second thought because we know we have created the most unique hospitality learning event ever.

OK. OK. I Know You Must be Thinking, "What's The Investment?"

Odds are that you have already started to sweat, worrying about how much you'll have to invest in an event as awesome as the Super Summit. I really hope you are imagining a huge number. Given all that we are offering, you wouldn't expect it to be cheap . . . and it isn't! This is no $149 plain vanilla seminar that will get you all pumped up, only to leave you flat and depressed a few days later when you realize you have no clear directions to follow to make any meaningful changes.

If you are half as dangerous as we suspect you are, attending the Super Summit is virtually certain to add at least $100,000.00 or more to your income, increase your equity and help you grow your business. Something that does all of that SHOULD have a big ticket attached.

But instead of charging the big price tag that we should charge (and perhaps eventually will!) we have decided to make it a whole lot more reasonable. The "base" tuition for the Super Summit is just $997.77 -- certainly a bargain for this type of personal training with the caliber of experts you will be working with. An additional partner, spouse, or key employee can attend for just $697.77. (By the way, the Super Summit registration, travel, lodging, meals, the works should be 100% tax deductible, so keep track of every penny.)

Is $997.77 a lot of money? I suppose that depends on how you look at it. On one hand, $997.77 should be enough to cause you to approach the Super Summit seriously, determined to get your money's worth. That mindset is an important part of assuring that you get full value from the programs. On the other hand, $997.77 is about 15% of the money you generate just by getting one new customer and less than 30% of what it costs you every time you turn over an employee, even a bad one. (If you are interested in seeing the calculations, ask me at the Super Summit.)

Still, $997.77 is not an insignificant sum. If you are relatively new to the business and it presents a financial strain for you, there is no shame in being cash-poor early in your career -- there is only shame in staying that way. If you've been in business for a while and the registration is still a financial strain for you, that is the best argument of all for making sure you do not miss the ideas and insights of the Super Summit. It would be a crime if you ever again had to agonize over spending less than $1000 to make 100 times that amount. In either case, we can make the pill easier to swallow by offering the option of paying the registration fee in installments. You can pay by credit card or have the funds automatically withdrawn from your checking account. Details are on the registration page.

Good News: You Don't Even Have To Pay the Full Registration Fee . . . But Only If You Act Fast!

Can't attend but would still like to know what happened? Order a set of the Super Summit programs on audio cassette or CD.

Each presenter has discounts available to clients and subscribers. Please ask your contact what deals you might qualify for. These discounts can be added together. So for example, if you're a Gold Group Member and register before the early registration seats are gone, your tuition is just $697.77!

To keep things in perspective, the $997 equates to about $19.17 per week -- only $2.74 per day for the next year. That's less than lunch at McDonalds. Less than a couple of cups of coffee at Starbuck's. Less than a glass of wine in most bars. Just about any way you could slice it, the investment is insignificant compared to the enormous value you'll get and the upside income increase it can bring you.

There is one other important fact you need to know about. Attendance at the Super Summit is limited to only 99 people. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the roster is full, your name will go on a waiting list in the event of a cancellation. If you can't get a seat at this year's Super Summit, you can always order the full set of audio tapes or CDs of the sessions.

HURRY: Time Is Short! The HOSPITALITY MASTERS SUPER SUMMIT is coming up fast. To get all your discounts, and avoid being shut-out, you must act NOW on this invitation.

To be certain of qualifying as an "early bird" and lots of other discounts, click here to order now or call me at (800) 767-1055. You will receive a receipt, confirmation letter, special hotel rates, and info by mail.

Why Seattle?

One last thing: a few people have asked why we decided to hold the Super Summit in Seattle rather than a more central location (like Little Rock?) Here are the top ten reasons why you should come to Seattle in late April:

10. Why not Seattle? It is one of the prettiest spots in the country and the weather in later April should be terrific! However, you must promise to tell everyone at home that it rained every day that you were in town. After all, we have a reputation to maintain (and we don't want everyone else moving here!)

9. Four of the nine presenters (Bill, Molly, Banger and Rory) live within a three-hour drive of Seattle and a fifth (Max) will be in town . . . from Sydney, Australia . . . for another client. There is only a little truth to the rumor that a three-hour drive in Seattle during rush hour will only take you thirty miles!

8. Seattle is within easy striking distance of Victoria and Vancouver, BC, just in case you want to turn your trip into a mini-vacation. (Canada has wonderful people . . . and an even better exchange rate!) However, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Rory Fatt will let you sleep on his living room couch when you visit Vancouver.

7. Seattle's restaurants offer exciting cuisines, interesting preparations and a fusion of Pacific Rim styles and flavors with local Northwest ingredients. These are all great ideas you can adapt to gain an unfair advantage over your competitors, most of whom are probably too anal to see the value of the Super Summit and are therefore picking up their hot new ideas at the chain restaurants near the mall.

6. There are some wonderful wines coming out of Washington, Oregon, Idaho . . . and even British Columbia -- labels you probably won't find on many wine lists elsewhere in the country. The supply can be limited . . . and the locals grab them up fast! Take a few extra days and do a wine tour.

5. We are meeting at the prestigious Washington Athletic Club which boasts 117 guest rooms and four floors of state-of-the-art athletic facilities. This is definitely a step up from your average hotel . . . and you might even get healthy while you are here!

4. Seattle is the home base of Starbuck's Coffee, Seattle's Best Coffee, Tully's Coffee (and a few hundred others who probably have an even better product!) You can get an espresso, cappuccino or café latte on virtually every street corner in the city! What a civilized idea!

3. The Seattle Mariners play the New York Yankees at Safeco Field on April 28th, the Sunday afternoon before the Super Summit starts. Come in early and see two of the greatest teams in baseball today square off in our state-of-the-art ballpark. Tickets may already be scarce but it's worth a try!

2. Seattle is the home of the famous Pike Place Market (you have seen pictures of the flying salmon). Pike Place Market is an essential Seattle experience. You should have this much excitement in your restaurant . . . and perhaps you can!

1. The best reason to come to Seattle in late April is that if you don't, you will miss the first-ever Hospitality Masters Super Summit . . . and we promise you will kick yourself if you are not there! Don't take a chance. Register today while space is still available!

I am so looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
