I thought there would be more to show you from our first trip on a TGV (high speed train), but we were too close to the train when it arrived to get a photo as we were scrambling to find our car and get the bags onboard before the train pulled out again. The ride itself was very smooth and despite the fact that we completed the trip from Strasbourg to Paris in 2½ hours with two stops, I didn't have a feeling of racing across the countryside ... even though we averaged 115 mph!

(Absent my own photos, in the past I would have picked up a shot or two off Google Images and used those, but I have come to appreciate that most of those photos, particularly the really good ones, are protected by copyright and you can be charged a penalty for their use. Let's just say I learned that lesson the hard way and my father always advised me never to take a bet I couldn't afford to lose!)
