The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
The Road to Paris

Today was a travel day, so our plan was fairly straightforward: get out of the house by 9am, drive to Bordeaux, turn in the car and catch a flight to Paris. Not a lot of scenic photos in a day like this (unless you are keen on blurred images along the autoroute), so I'll share a few shots from the trip that didn't quite fit into any of my earlier reports.

We will be staying at the DeGaulle airport for a couple of days before we catch our flight home on Monday. We stayed at the Suite Novotel Roissy when we were here in January and were pleasantly surprised to find an actual French village literally across the street from the hotel. Margene has been anxious to get back here to return to a nice little creperie we stumbled across on our last visit.

Fortunately, we got to the creperie tonight because we discovered they're closed tomorrow. Dinner was as light and delicious as we remembered it. When I had my restaurant in San Francisco back in the day, I always had a crepe and an omelette on my lunch menu. Both were always well-received then ... and I suspect they would do even better in today's weight-conscious environment.
