The Daily Diary of a Wandering Restaurateur
May 6 - A Quick Look Around Panicale

Perched on a hilltop overlooking Lake Trasimeno (site of Hannibal's victory over the Romans, by the way), Panicale is a pocket-sized walled town with a real sense of place about it. The action centers on the main piazza dominated, as always, by the church.

The town is clean and well-maintained, with flowers seemingly everywhere. Margene never misses a flower shot!
